Upstate Hospital, MUSC Warns Thousands Of Patients Of Infection Risk

Patients who have undergone open heart surgery at two South Carolina hospitals are being warned of possible exposure to a harmful bacteria. 

The Medical University of South Carolina and Bon Secours St. Francis Health System has sent out notifications to up to 45-hundred patients of a possible risk from heater-cooler devices that were contaminated during the manufacturing processes.
