Proposed Bill Could Bring Closure To Family In Overdose Death

Overdose deaths are increasing in South Carolina and a proposed bill could bring closure to one family affected by the issue.

The bill would allow drug dealers who sell lethal doses to be prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter. Kathy Ferrell is pushing for the bill after losing her daughter to a methamphetamine overdose.

South Carolina was recently granted federal money to equip first responders with medicine to reverse overdoses.
