Newly-Unsealed Motion Shows Roof Argued Against Too Many Witnesses

A newly-unsealed motion from the trial of the convicted Charleston church shooter is giving insight into Dylan Roof's strategy.

In the motion, Roof argued that the number of witnesses prosecutors planned to call would guarantee a death sentence.

Roof said it was "not fair" for the jury to hear from nearly 40 friends and family members of the victims of the shooting at Mother Emanuel AME Church.

Nearly 200 documents from the trial are set to be unsealed by the end of March.
