Lack Of Lethal Injection Chemicals Causes Delays In Executions

A lack of lethal injection chemicals is causing delays in executions in South Carolina.

Department of Corrections officials say companies that make the drugs refuse to sell them any longer, saying their product should not be used to kill. Executioners are looking to lawmakers for guidance.

The most likely solution could be a shield law preventing the names of companies providing the drugs from being identified.
