Hospital Lawsuit Against Law Firm Likely To Be Heard By Jury

The legal malpractice suit filed against the Nexsen Pruett law firm, by Tuomey Healthcare System will not be going to federal court - but instead to a likely jury trial in Sumter.

The hospital, now operating as Palmetto Health Tuomey, is asking for $117-million in damages for the legal havoc they say was caused by the advice of Nexsen Pruett.

The law firm represented the healthcare provider in a federal lawsuit ruling that went against the hospital two years ago.
