It's appropriate that fans and players got together to celebrate South Carolina's national championship.
Women's' basketball head coach Dawn Staley says that's because the Gamecocks couldn't have won the title without the fans that have supported the program for years.
The team was honored yesterday with a parade and a rally through the streets of Columbia. Staley told the crowd when fans create the atmosphere they have for the players, they make national championships possible.
