Family and friends are mourning the loss of an 18-year-old girl from Northwestern High School after a body was found on Monday that police believe to be hers.
The girl left her home on Friday and her parents reported her missing just after midnight. Her parents say she left medicine that she took to prevent seizures at home that night. Her body was found just yards from the roadway near a creek on Monday morning.
Deputies don't suspect foul play. An autopsy will reveal the cause of death and also confirm whether the body belongs to the missing girl.
There will be counselors at the middle and high schools where her siblings attend school.
