Norman - Pope Race Too Close To Call

The GOP special run-off election between state legislator Tommy Pope and former lawmaker Ralph Norman is too close to call.

Final vote totals show Norman to be the winner edging Pope by a mere 203 votes. The difference is less than 1% and requires a recount which will be conducted to decide the winner.

The eventual winner will face Democratic candidate Archie Parnell in the June 20th special election.

The candidates are vying to win the 5th District congressional seat, which became vacant, when Mick Mulvaney became President Trump's Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
