Columbia City Council Raises Property Taxes For 2018 Budget

A storm water project and a water and sewer improvement plan will be funded by an increase in property taxes.

The Columbia City Council approved a nearly 330-million budget that includes over 150-million dollars for water and sewer.

Property taxes haven't been raised in the city in over a decade and city council members say they are investing in the future.

The council has one more vote before the budget is finalized.
