Hoping to address the difficulties of recruiting, and retaining nurses, along with the high cost of statewide healthcare Greenville Health System is joining with Palmetto Health.
Combined, this new company will represent 13 hospitals, and 1.2-million patients annually, generating almost $4-billion in annual net revenue.
Discussions are still ongoing about what this new firm will be called, and while they will share resources and finances, both will remain separate, legal entities.
The official launch is January 1st.
