Taxpayers in Columbia will see an increase in taxes during the next budget year.
The City Council voted yesterday and approved an increase in taxes to help pay for major water, sewer and rainwater infrastructure improvements, as well as increasing the pay for police officers.
The tax increases will go into effect on July 1st.
