The two-cent gas tax increase begins this weekend.
Not only will drivers statewide be paying a little extra for gas over the next six years, but car buyers will also pay an infrastructure maintenance tax beginning this Saturday.
The new fee will be equal to five-percent of the price of the vehicle with a cap of 500-dollars. The money will go to the Department of Transportation for road improvements.
