Department Of Transportation Looks To Avoid Another Traffic Nightmare

South Carolina Department of Transportation officials hope to revamp I-26 to avoid another traffic nightmare.

On Monday, Columbia's rush hour traffic was delayed after a portion of the asphalt buckled due to heavy rain and a hole formed, posing a threat to drivers.

SCDOT says they are planning on revamping the road next spring and monitoring the interstate to be able to respond quickly should anything like this happen again.
