Senate Education Committee Looks Into Of Out-Of-State Student Discounts

The Senate Education Committee is trying to determine if offering out-of-state student tuition discounts are a good idea. 

"The State" says South Carolina public colleges have given out over 500-million dollars worth of discounts over the past decade. 

Leaders from the University of South Carolina say the higher prices paid by out-of-state students make tuition costs lower for in-state students.
