New Park Will Provide Flood Relief To Bull Street Neighborhood

A new plan for a 20-acre public park is meant to help prevent flooding in the Bull Street neighborhood in Columbia.

The new park at the corner of Colonial Drive and Gregg Street will feature walking trails, a dog park and a pond. Developers plan to bring underground water to the surface to provide a waterway to catch and move storm water through the neighborhood.

The project is expected to begin over the next few weeks and they hope to have the park completed by the beginning of next year.
