Woman Escapes Kidnapping Because Abductors Can't Operate Stick Shift

A Midlands Tech student says she avoided being the victim of a kidnapping after her abductors couldn't figure out how to drive a stick shift.

"The State" reports three suspects approached Jordan Dinsmore around 1:00 in the morning Wednesday of last week, pointed a gun at her, and forced her into her car. They told her they were going to sexually assault her, and asked her to drive to an ATM since they couldn't operate her car. At an intersection where three other cars were present, she unbuckled her seatbelt, put her car in neutral and ran away.

Three teens have been arrested in the case.
