ATF On Scene Of Hostage Standoff In Charleston

ATF agents are assisting police attempting to end a hostage standoff in downtown Charleston, South Carolina.  It's happening at a restaurant called "Virginia's on King."  

The gunman is described as a disgruntled employee.  

A spokesman for the Charleston police said a couple of hostages are still in the building with the gunman.  One person was injured.  Police managed to recover the victim, and they've been taken for medical treatment.  There's no word on the victim's condition.  

Police negotiators are also on the scene, in addition to a bomb squad.  Snipers have been spotted taking position on rooftops.  The mayor of Charleston emphasized that this is not a hate crime or an act of terrorism.
