Richland County Cops Raise $15,000 For Harvey Relief

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is expressing its gratitude to the public after raising 15-thousand dollars for Texas cops affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Sheriff Leon Lott said in a statement last night that, quote, "Thank you just isn't enough to say how the Richland County Sheriff's Department family feels for each of you, as you stepped up to help our brothers and sisters who wear the uniform."

Deputies raised the money yesterday during a 12-hour "Hope for Houston" fundraiser. Gift cards will be donated to the first responders along the Texas Gulf coast.
