Hunting Island State Park Shut Down After Storm

A South Carolina state park is closed indefinitely due to damage from the storm.

Officials at Hunting Island State Park say much of it was inundated with water a foot to three feet above normal when Hurricane Irma moved into the Tennessee River Valley region Monday and affected the coastal Carolinas with rain, wind and storm surge.

The facility is not expected to reopen until next year.
