McMaster Speech May Be 'Kiss Of Death' For Dominion Deal

(Columbia, SC)  --  With one speech, the governor may have killed a deal to sell SCANA.

Virginia's Dominion Energy has proposed buying the utility but only if it can raise rates under the Base Load Review Act.

Governor Henry McMaster, though, said in last night's State of the State address that he wants the BLRA eliminated.

That comment drew a standing ovation at the Capitol, and State Senator Mike Fanning tells WIS 10 News that was probably the kiss of death for the Dominion deal.
