Senate Vote Could Delay SCANA Sale

(Columbia, SC)  --  Plans to sell SCANA could be on hold depending on what lawmakers do today.

A state senate panel yesterday voted to block the Public Service Commission from approving the sale until a year from now.

Supporters of yesterday's vote say this will give lawmakers more time to consider what to do about SCANA and Santee Cooper.

The full senate could vote on the proposal as soon as today.
