Bill Would Make It Easier To Open Chicken Farms

More chicken farms could be coming to South Carolina, and that's not sitting well with some residents.

A bill that could pass the SC Senate today would make it harder for residents to block new farms from opening in their neighborhoods.  Some who currently live near chicken farms complain about the smell that can be overwhelming at times, and the bugs.

The Farm Bureau, though, tells "The State" the bill is common-sense legislation that will be good for economic growth, especially for rural communities.
