Employee With Access To Public Credit Card Has History Of Financial Crimes

(Columbia, SC)  --  Financial crime appears to be nothing new to a government employee under investigation for misspending public money.

An independent audit is investigating Fifth Circuit Solicitor Communications Director Nicole Holland for her spending habits with a government credit card.  In the 1990s, SLED records show Holland was convicted four times for writing fraudulent checks and once for forgery.

"The State" reports a review of Holland's spending habits since 2011 shows some charges that appear to be personal, like an orthodontist in Kentucky, and thousands of dollars at Sam's, Walmart and local restaurants, all on the solicitor's office credit card.
