Santee Cooper Files Motion Opposing SCANA-Dominion Merger

(Columbia, SC)  --  A recent move by Santee Cooper is raising questions about its motives.

The state-owned utility yesterday filed a motion with the Public Service Commission about a possible SCANA-Dominion Energy merger.

Santee Cooper isn't saying why it filed the motion, but some believe it wants to block the merger or learn something valuable about the parties involved.

Berkeley State Senator Paul Campbell tells "The State" he thinks Santee Cooper is trying to see if there's any money left.
