House Rejects Effort To Lower SCE&G Bills By 13%

(Columbia, SC)  --  Arguing over how much to lower SCE-and-G bills could leave customers with no rate cut at all.  

House lawmakers yesterday rejected a measure to lower bills by 13-percent, which the Senate had already voted for.  House lawmakers are pushing for an 18-percent cut, which the senate is unlikely to support.  

Orangeburg State Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter tells WIS it seems like lawmakers are playing a game of chicken.
