(Irmo, SC) -- A Columbia man is dead after he crashed his car during a chase with deputies.
It happened last week in Irmo after Lexington County deputies say Daniel Bunch purposely avoided a checkpoint.
As deputies gave chase, they say the 30-year-old Bunch went down an embankment at Piney Grove and St. Andrews roads and hit a tree. 'Fox 57' reports Bunch had prior charges of assault and battery.
