Church Volunteers Stranded In Haiti

(Chapin, SC)  --  A Lexington County church is asking for prayers as members are stranded in Haiti.

Airlines canceled flights this weekend after protests over fuel prices turned deadly.

Chapin United Methodist Church says its team of volunteers is safe, but there's no word on when they'll be able to come home.

The 13 church members have been in Haiti over a week to volunteer with the Mission of Hope Haiti, and while some flights have resumed, the US Embassy is warning Americans to stay in place until they have confirmed their flight departure.
