Roof Prosecutor Appointed To Federal Judgeship

The man who led the effort to convict Dylann Roof is getting rewarded for his work.

The US Senate this week approved Julius Richardson's appointment as judge to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, which is one of the country's top federal courts.  The 41-year-old was the lead federal prosecutor in Roof's trial last year that ended in a conviction and a death penalty sentence.

Senator Lindsey Graham says Richardson is one of the great legal minds of our time.
