Florence Deputy Dies From Injuries Suffered In Shooting

(Florence, SC) -- The law enforcement community is mourning the loss of another officer hurt in an ambush.

Florence County Deputy Farrah Turner died yesterday from injuries she suffered in this month's shooting.

Turner was one of seven deputies and Florence Police officers who were shot while serving a warrant.

Fred Hopkins had previously been charged with the murder of Florence Officer Terrence Carraway, but no new charges have been announced yet in Turner's death.

 Governor Henry McMaster ordered all flags to be lowered to half-staff in tribute to Turner. The flags will remain at half-staff until her burial.
