Sheriff Apologizes For Deputy Conduct At USC-Tennessee Game

(Columbia, SC) -- Richland County's sheriff admits the conduct of his deputies did not look good this weekend.

Sheriff Leon Lott yesterday publicly apologized for how deputies responded to a black alumni event at the USC football game.

Deputies received a call about overcrowding at the SC State Fairgrounds where the Black Alumni Reunion was holding a tailgate.

A deputy on horseback displayed what Lott called very intimidating behavior, and internal affairs is investigating.
