(Simpsonville, SC) -- A controversial event in Greenville County seems to have gone off without a hitch.
The Drag Queen Story Hour took place yesterday at the Five Forks library in Simpsonville as police were on hand to keep the peace.
Those protesting the event and supporting it were separated by barriers as a capacity crowd gathered inside.
One man who attended the event told the Greenville News everyone was well-behaved as three drag queens each read a story while children sat on the floor.
