(Columbia, SC) -- Vice President Mike Pence will shine a spotlight on a Columbia movie theater today.
He and Senator Tim Scott will visit Spotlight Cinemas Capitol 8 near the Columbia Place Mall, which sits in an Opportunity Zone. Scott helped create Opportunity Zones two years ago.
The zones offer tax breaks to developers who want to build in economically depressed areas, and Scott hopes the movie theater can be example for the rest of the country.
