Only One Juror Seated In Death Penalty Trial

(Columbia, SC) -- If the first day of jury selection is any indication, it could be a while before a death penalty trial gets underway in Lexington County.

Jury selection began yesterday for the trial of Boyd Young, who's accused of killing his five kids five years ago.

Lawyers on both sides spent hours debating one particular juror before the judge ruled the man was qualified to sit on the jury.

That was the only juror seated yesterday, and the judge wants as many as 50 potential jurors selected to fill the jury pool.
