(Columbia, SC) -- A man is dead after crashing while trying to avoid arrest in Spartanburg County.
SCHP says Casey Owens was riding a stolen motorcycle yesterday afternoon against oncoming traffic on US 176 when he collided with a car, head-on.
The 28-year-old died at the scene. A trooper had started chasing Owens on Asheville Highway, but SCHP says the chase ended before the crash.
