Outgoing USC President Calls For Healing And Reconciliation

(Columbia, SC) -- USC's outgoing president is calling for healing and reconciliation after a controversial replacement was chosen.

The school's board of trustees voted last week to hire Robert Caslen as the new president despite objections from students and faculty members.

Yesterday, outgoing President Harris Pastides acknowledged the last few months have been difficult, but, in a Facebook post, he urged everyone to work together to move forward for the sake of the university.
