(Washington, DC) -- Lindsey Graham's plan to stop what he calls a massive influx of migrants could move closer to becoming law today.
Senator Graham chairs the Judiciary Committee, and that committee will vote on a bill Graham has proposed.
The Secure and Protect Act of 2019 calls for asylum applicants from Central America to file their claims outside the US, and it also would hire 500 new immigration judges.
Graham says the bill would stop people from abusing the asylum process.
