(Columbia, SC) -- Columbia's mayor is choosing sides between two Democratic candidates for congress.
Mayor Steve Benjamin announced yesterday he's endorsing Adair Ford Boroughs in the Democratic primary in the Second District. She's facing Lawrence Nathaniel in the primary, and the winner will face incumbent Republican Joe Wilson.
Boroughs is a former attorney with the Justice Department, and Benjamin tells The State she has a history of fighting for the people against corporations and rich tax cheats.
