State Fines Dominion For Polluting Drinking Water Sources

(Columbia, SC) -- Dominion Energy is facing a fine from the state of South Carolina.

State regulators want the utility to pay 42-hundred dollars for letting sediment runoff from a pipeline project pollute drinking water sources.

The illegal discharging reportedly happened between Spartanburg and Lake Greenwood.

Dominion Energy blamed the spill on a contractor it hired.
