South Carolina Considering Tax Exemption For Military Retirees

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina lawmakers are considering a bill that would exempt military retirees from paying state income taxes.

The proposed plan would change the Workforce Enhancement and Military Recognition Act. That was passed by the House earlier this year and is in committee in the Senate.

Those who oppose the bill are worried it could mean less state income tax revenue.
