USDA Investing Over $8 Million In High-Speed Broadband In Rural Areas

(Undated) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture is investing 8.1 million dollars into rural South Carolina. 

The funding will go toward high-speed broadband infrastructure. It will go to 96 miles of fiber-optic cable in unserved areas for Charleston and Berkeley Counties. 

The investment is expected to impact over 37-hundred households, 23 farms, 19 businesses, 19 educational facilities, and eight fire stations.
