(Columbia, SC) -- An inmate who escaped from custody in South Carolina in 1979 has been captured.
Jose Chico Romero presented a fake ID card to Dover Police on December 28th. He was arrested as Arnaldo Figueroa but his fingerprints later came back as Romero.
He was serving an 18-year sentence when he escaped from an Anderson County work crew four decades ago.
