Lawmakers Consider Bills To Fine Slow Drivers In The Left Lane

(Columbia, SC) -- Lawmakers are considering a bill that would let police pull over drivers who are going too slow in the left lane of major roads.

The Senate Transportation Committee passed the bill last week. If it becomes a law, drivers would face a 100-dollar fine for not moving over to the right lane when driving slowly.

A similar House Bill is proposed with stricter consequences including a 200-dollar fine and two points added to the driver's license.
