City Of Columbia Declares State Of Emergency

(Columbia, SC) -- The City of Columbia is declaring a state of emergency.

Mayor Steve Benjamin is encouraging social distancing per CDC guidelines. He also issued an ordinance last night that limits restaurants and bars in the city to half of their allowed occupancy.

No more than 6 people can sit at a table and there must be at least 6 feet between tables.

Take-out and delivery options are encouraged as an alternative to dining in.
