South Carolina Could Set Voting By Mail Record This Primary

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina residents are voting by-mail in what could be record numbers ahead of this month's primary.

So far, 113-thousand people in the Palmetto State have opted to vote-by-mail, and the absentee by mail record was about 140-thousand people in November of 2016.

The state Election Commission says about 80-percent of all absentee votes statewide are by-mail. The primary is less than one week away.
