Former Medic Arrested For Allegedly Inciting Riot At CPD Headquarters

(Richland County, SC) -- A former medic is being charged for allegedly inciting a riot at the Columbia Police Department Headquarters.

Twenty-two-year-old Kevin Ackley is accused of throwing a water bottle at law enforcement officers during a protest on May 30th.

He was working as a medic for the Richland County Emergency Services but was fired Friday.

Authorities say Ackley is part of the "Boogaloo Boys," an anti-government group involved in the riots.
