South Carolina Reaches Highest Number Of New COVID-19 Cases

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina has reached the highest number of new coronavirus cases. 

The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 799 new cases and one death yesterday. 

That brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 18-thousand-795 and the death toll to 600. 

Officials say the recent spike in cases is not just due to increased testing, but the percent positive has also gone up.
