Two Men Drown After Getting Caught In Rip Currents Near Myrtle Beach

(Myrtle Beach, SC) -- Two people are dead after getting caught in rip currents while swimming in the ocean near Myrtle Beach. 

Fifty-two-year-old Franklin Morris from Florida drowned in the area of 16th Avenue North and was pronounced dead at the Grand Strand Medical Center on Friday. 

Seventy-one-year-old Allen Eschner of Surfside Beach also drowned Friday near Garden City. 

Both deaths are still under investigation.
