(Columbia, SC) -- Over a thousand new coronavirus cases are reported in South Carolina.Â
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1106 newly-confirmed cases yesterday, for a total of 28,962 since the pandemic again.Â
They also said there were eight more deaths, bringing confirmed COVID-19 deaths to 691.Â
There are currently 881 hospital beds occupied by patients who have the coronavirus or are under investigation for the virus.
