DHEC Warning Residents About Fourth Of July Celebrations

(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is warning residents about Fourth of July celebrations.

They issued a statement yesterday, asking anyone who plans to celebrate to do so safely amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Their call for precautions comes as the state is seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases.

The Department asks everyone to practice social distancing and wear face coverings, especially when in public or at gatherings.
