New Survey Shows 16,000+ Students Unable To Be Reached By Schools

(Columbia, SC) -- A new survey shows South Carolina schools are unable to make contact with over 16-thousand students.

This comes after schools closed in March due to the pandemic. Some officials are worried the numbers reflect children that could be in harm's way.

The Department of Education says they are working to finalize a plan to get in touch with the students they haven't been able to reach.
